Participated in the Omuta International Exchange Tea Party
We participated in the 12th International Exchange Experience Tea Ceremony held in Omuta, Japan.
After watching a video in English on the history, culture, and manners of the tea ceremony, the students were divided into two groups and learned how to make and drink tea, and also enjoyed a cup of thin tea in a separate room.
Thank you to the people of Omuta for allowing our exchange students to experience traditional Japanese culture.
Trip:旅行
There are several trips in the RYE program.
We went on a trip to Kagoshima
This year, the Kyushu Four-District Joint IN Kagoshima Training Trip took place on 11/25-26, gathering participants from all four districts. Held for the first time in four years due to the pandemic, the event featured visits to iconic sites like the Chiran Special Attack Peace Museum and sand steaming hot springs in Ibusuki. On the second day, activities included creating accessories with Satsuma Kiriko glass, archery experiences, and a ferry trip to Sakurajima, providing a learning and experiential journey through Kagoshima’s history and culture.
